DHS is taking comments on limits to work permits for people with deferred action or parole
A DHS proposed rule would require more proof of economic need, E-Verify-linked renewals and other limits for several discretionary work-permit categories. Human Rights Watch says the rule could make it harder for some immigrant domestic-violence survivors to work while VAWA or U-visa cases remain backlogged. Comments are due August 4.
