The President would have to relabel Ansarallah as a foreign terrorist organization within 30 days after the bill becomes law. The bill uses the existing process in section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act.
The bill would require terrorism sanctions on Ansarallah and on any foreign person the President decides is an official, agent, or affiliate of the group. Those sanctions come from Executive Order 13224.
The President would have to review three named people and report the result to Congress. That review must happen within 30 days after the sanctions are imposed.
